BeActive NC / Appalachian Partnership Research Grants are available for up to $1,000 to investigate any aspect of physical activity/exercise. The purpose of these grants are to examine any of the potential benefits of regular physical activity/exercise from a physiological, psychological, epidemiological, sociological, economical, or public health perspective.
Research projects must be conducted in Western North Carolina, and results must be made available to the BeActive NC / Appalachian Partnership.
Step 1. Have your faculty advisor complete the Faculty Recommendation Form (PDF), sign it and mail it to: Kathy Weaver, Office of Student Research, Room 385, John E. Thomas Administration Building, Appalachian State University, Boone, NC 28608.
Step 2. Submit the BeActive NC / Appalachian Partnership Grant Application Form.
The Office of Student Research will begin accepting NEW BeActive NC / Appalachian Partnership Grants on July 1, 2008.
